Michael Davies
Guest Lecturer, Strategy and Entrepreneurship
Michael Davies is the Founder and Chairman of Endeavour Partners, a Senior Lecturer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and runs the New Technology Ventures Program at London Business School. He works with leaders in technology to anticipate the future, navigate the resulting challenges and opportunities and enable them to drive innovation.
Michael has deep business and technology expertise in mobile and digital domains. He is an expert in technology and business ecosystems, competition and collaboration and the management innovation. Prior to founding Endeavour Partners, Michael held executive and strategic advisory roles with leading firms including Boston Consulting Group, BellSouth International, Braxton Associates, GeoPartners Research and Mars Electronics. He has also been an entrepreneur, including pioneering the first global system for a mobile communication business outside Europe and the first personal digital assistant with digital connectivity (a predecessor to the modern smartphone).
He holds an MBA from London Business School, and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Cambridge and the University of Durham.

Nicos Savva
Professor of Management Science and Operations
Professor Nicos Savva is an expert in data science and uses it to solve operational problems and help large organisations develop data-science capabilities. His current research focuses on hospital operations and healthcare management. His research has appeared in leading journals such as Management Science, M&SOM, Production & Operations Management, and Nature Biotechnology. He is an Associate Editor of Management Science, M&SOM and senior editor of Production & Operations Management.
Professor Savva holds an honorary appointment at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation trust, a large hospital system based in London, and has acted as a consultant to hospitals, biotech companies, high-tech start-ups, retail firms and a hedge fund. He has also taught at The Wharton School, Columbia GSB, and at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD in Management Science, an MPhil in Finance (Financial Engineering) and a BA in Physics, all from the University of Cambridge.

Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship
Professor Keyvan Vakili’s research focuses on how the technological and institutional contexts in which individuals and firms operate shape the characteristics of business innovations in terms of novelty and impact. Before joining academia, Professor Vakili founded a video game production company, which he sold to Samsung three years later.
Professor Keyvan Vakili is a strategy scholar interested in the antecedents of innovation and collaboration within creative settings. research focuses on how the technological and institutional contexts in which individuals and firms operate shape the characteristics of business innovations in terms of novelty and impact.
Before joining academia, Professor Vakili was an entrepreneur and worked as a consultant. He founded a video game production company, which he sold to Samsung three years later. As a consultant, he worked with executives in a range of industries such as auto, oil, education, software and hardware. He currently advises several startups in the fields of mobile apps, cloud computing, and blockchain technology

No, only verified digital certificates will be issued upon successful completion. This allows you to share your credentials on social networking platforms, such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter.
No, there is no alumni status granted for this programme. In some cases, there are credits that count towards a higher level of certification. This information will be clearly noted in the programme brochure.
You will have access to the online learning platform and all the videos and programme materials for 12 months following the programme start date. Access to the learning platform is restricted to registered participants per the terms of agreement.
Participants will need the latest version of their preferred browser to access the learning platform. In addition, Microsoft Office and a PDF viewer are required to access documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF files and transcripts.
Yes, the learning platform is accessed via the internet, and video content is not available for download. However, you can download files of video transcripts, assignment templates, readings, etc. For maximum flexibility, you can access programme content from a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device.
Video lectures must be streamed via the internet, and any livestream webinars and office hours will require an internet connection. However, these sessions are always recorded, so you can view them later.

Yes, the flexible payment option allows a participant to pay the programme fee in instalments. This option is made available on the payment page and should be selected before submitting the payment.

You may request a full refund within seven days of your payment or 14 days after the published start date of the programme, whichever comes later. If your enrolment had previously been deferred, you will not be entitled to a refund. Partial (or pro-rated) refunds are not offered. All withdrawal and refund requests should be sent to admissions@emeritus.org.
After the published start date of the programme, you have until the midpoint of the programme to request to defer to a future cohort of the same programme. A deferral request must be submitted along with a specified reason and explanation. Cohort changes may be made only once per enrolment and are subject to availability of other cohorts scheduled at our discretion. This will not be applicable for deferrals within the refund period, and the limit of one deferral per enrolment remains. All deferral requests should be sent to admissions@emeritus.org.
